Continuing on with my love of vintage women and their cats.  I found a beautiful photo of the Ava Gardner and her siamese cat that I used as inspiration for a new painting. Love these old photographs...this one especially.

Recent painting of a friends mother

Just thought I'd post a recent painting I did of a friend's mother. Here is the painting and the photos I used as reference.  I liked the top her mother had on in the small photo.  I like the way it came out. Elizabeth lives in Canada and is in her 90s.

inspiration

I get my inspiration from looking at tons of old photos. I thought I'd share some of the latest paintings I've done and the photos that I choose for reference. I like to take the photo and add a modern twist (and my own interpretation). I'd love to hear what you think.....
